The former Barcelona forward is a key player for the Gunners. He scored 30 goals from 51 appearances last season and has another 3 to his goal tally this season already.

Last summer, there were some serious interests for the Chilean from various clubs across Europe, but Sanchez’s move was blocked by Arsene Wenger who wanted to keep hold of the attacker.

Given Manchester City’s form, it is likely that Arsenal will go another season without the league title, which means it’s going to get harder for them to keep their key players.

Sanchez’s contract expires next summer which means Arsenal could either lose him for free in July or sell him for a cut-price deal in January. Here are 5 clubs who should go after the Chilean.

#5 Chelsea

The reigning Premier League champions were one of the many clubs interested in Alexis Sanchez’s signature last summer.

Alvaro Morata, Eden Hazard, and Pedro or Willian make up Chelsea’s front attacking trio but Pedro’s form has started to dip recently and Willian has struggled for game time under the Antonio Conte.

Hence, the Chelsea boss wants Sanchez who suits the Italians’ high work ethic and is clinical in front of goal as well.

Arsenal fans have already witnessed Cesc Fabregas and Ashley Cole move to their London rivals. Should Alexis also follow their trail, the Gooners would be distraught. But, for Chelsea, getting the former Barcelona man for nothing will be a wonderful piece of business.

#4 Real Madrid

There have been plenty of headlines hitting in recent days on Ronaldo’s lack goalscoring form in the La Liga this season. The 32-year-old is going through a rough patch, scoring just 2 goals in the domestic league. Gareth Bale has had a frustrating last couple of seasons owing to injuries, so that’s two key players not doing so well.

On the wings, the whites have Marco Asensio and Lucas Vazquez at their disposal, but Alexis Sanchez will prove to be a valuable asset with his experience and he’ll also increase the squad depth.

Karim Benzema is the only experienced striker and the other forward option available for Real Madrid is the young Borja Mayoral who has scored only once in the 11 games he has played this season. Selling Morata was clearly a mistake, so bringing in Sanchez would be a wise move.

Sanchez will add pace, tenacity and goals. In addition to that, the Chilean is versatile and can play anywhere across the front line which is another reason why the Spanish Champions should be after the 28-year-old.

Sanchez is undoubtedly a world-class player, but lest we forget, he has played for Barcelona. So it remains to be seen if he’ll be open to a move to the Spanish capital.

#3 Juventus

Juventus are the king of free transfers and a move to Italy could be on the cards for Sanchez. Douglas Costa’s move will be made permanent come summer despite the fact that he hasn’t really hit the ground running and still needs to adapt to the league.

Juan Cuadrado has done a good job on the other flank, however. Mario Mandzukic has often been deployed on the left wing by Massimiliano Allegri, but the former Bayern Munich striker is known for his strong play and finishing qualities as a centre-forward and not for breezing past defenders on the wide areas.

Sanchez will provide that breakneck pace which they lack with Mandzukic. He is not only known for his attacking contributions to the team, he loves to track back and defend when his team requires him to do that. His work rate is phenomenal which can never be put into doubt.

#2 Manchester City

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola lined up a £60 million bid for Alexis Sanchez last summer but Arsenal refused to sell their star man to their direct title rivals. The Chilean was signed by Pep Guardiola while at Barcelona during the summer of 2011 and proved to be a pretty good player.

He scored 15 goals in the debut season under the guidance of Pep Guardiola but as the seasons went on, he dropped down the pecking order and wasn’t a regular starter, which is why he decided to move to Arsenal.

The former Udinese man has scored 75 times for Arsenal in 155 appearances. The Citizens already have Raheem Sterling, Sergio Aguero, Gabriel Jesus and Leroy Sane plundering goals, but signing Alexis will add more firepower and more squad depth. The Chilean has made his intentions clear that he wants trophies and a transfer to Etihad makes complete sense.

#1 Bayern Munich

Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery aren’t getting any younger and the duo will be without a contract come summer. As Lewandowski revealed a few months ago, Bayern need to make a statement and buy proven players. And who better than Alexis?

The Bavarians have a few young wingers at their disposal; Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry. But to compete in the Champions League, they need the mixture of youth and experience. Gnabry is out on loan and whether or not he’ll suit Bayern is still a mystery. Coman, on the other hand, hasn’t impressed for the team consistently.

Sanchez will be 29 by next summer but still has at least two or three more years of peak football left in him. So, Bayern should do everything to sign the player on a cut-price deal in January or for free next summer.
