Of course, whether that manifests or not depends on how the company continues to let these storylines play out, but there are a lot of interesting options here.

With that in mind, and a plethora of options now a very real possibility, here are WWE’s five best potential dream matches during the Brand-To-Brand Invitational era. As always, let us know your thoughts in the comments below and be sure to tell us what dream matches you are hoping WWE does in the next few months.

#5 Shayna Baszler vs Sasha Banks

Shayna Baszler needs a soft spot to fall after coming up short to Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 36 and also failing to capture the briefcase in the women’s Money in the Bank Ladder match, which is why a match with Sasha Banks could be very interesting to watch.

The match could come to fruition if Baszler turns up on SmackDown to challenge Bayley and The Role Model decides to put her best friend in the line of fire yet again. This can help create a strain in the relationship between Bayley and Banks.

Beyond that, Banks versus Baszler would be a very interesting match up to watch play out and it would help build up The Queen of Spades as an unstoppable threat once again.

Whether that means ending the match with a dominant performance by Baszler or letting them go on for a while, it would still be an upgrade for both women.

In the end, one of the biggest points of this temporary end to the brand split is to create matchups that fans haven’t seen before. It is also a chance to create exciting television and there are few matches in the women’s division that would be as intriguing as Baszler versus Banks.

#4 Daniel Bryan versus Aleister Black

Aleister Black vs Daniel Bryan is a dream match that could get the WWE Universe excited. When it comes to in-ring talent, both of them are sufficiently equipped to deliver great matches and pitting them against each other can get a lot of eyeballs.

The two Superstars were in the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match, but WWE did not tease a feud there.

A win over Bryan would be a huge boost for Black who has been protected on RAW. The Leader of the Yes Movement is someone who puts over rising Superstars so we could indeed see him giving the Dutch Destroyer the victory.

In the end, WWE has prided itself on must-see matches lately and this would definitely be another to consider. At least that way, Black and Bryan can build some momentum in their current pursuits on WWE. The Dutch Destroyer is on a collision course with Seth Rollins while Bryan is one of the top favourites to win the ongoing Intercontinental Championhip tournament.

#3 Nia Jax versus Lacey Evans

Lacey Evans made her way to the main roster in the months leading up to WrestleMania 35 and while some thought of her as just another addition to the roster, WWE quickly made it clear that they had plans for her. In fact, she ended up confronting Becky Lynch on the RAW after WrestleMania 35 and both of them had a long feud.

Of course, she didn’t end up winning the titles and was cast into the mid-card a short time later, but it really started to show exactly what the Sassy Southern Belle was capable of. Evans has shown a lot of improvement over the past few months inside the ring and her face turn was well-received by the WWE Universe. Her mic skills are also getting better and is currently on of the top faces on the SmackDown roster.

Nia Jax made her return to RAW after this year’s WrestleMania 36 and has been on a warpath. Many believe that she could be Asuka’s first challenger as well. A match between two Superstars with title aspirations does have the right ingredients.

#2 John Morrison and The Miz versus The Street Profits

There’s something about the Street Profits that is just flat out entertaining to watch and that doesn’t always have to do with their microphone skills. For example, they just play their characters with so much energy, excitement and legitimacy that you just can’t help rallying behind them in some way.

Then there is the the team of The Miz and John Morrison, who are both old-school heels that are in need of a new direction at the moment. Interestingly enough, WWE has seemingly relaxed their brand split rules for the time being, which means that these two polar opposite teams could collide in the near future.

If nothing else, it would be amazing to watch these two teams work off each other and bring a level of humor to the tag team division. It would add a bit of spice to the tag team division, which is important with what is going on, and might lead to better things down the road for both teams.

#1 Drew McIntyre versus Braun Strowman

Braun Strowman versus Drew McIntyre would not only be a champion versus champion match of epic proportions, it would also be a great way to open the door to a SmackDown versus Raw mini feud. The company could even create a storyline around it about which show has the better champion.

Beyond all the hyperbole that WWE can create around this champion versus champion match up, it would be really interesting to see how WWE choose to book a champion versus champion match like this. It would also be a match worthy of a main event spot, which is something the company can tease throughout the night.

In the end, it doesn’t have to end by pin fall or submission and there are several Superstars that can stage a run in at some point, but just seeing these two champions share a ring would be amazing. Add in a little bit of friendly brand warfare and you have all the makings of something special.
