Over the years, it has become a known fact that WWE stars who are best friends off-screen can have the best feuds on-screen. Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt had an interesting feud earlier this year, while Bayley and Sasha Banks recently left it all in the ring at Hell in a Cell.

Friendships in WWE are often made to last and now that social media has become a massive part of everyday life, it’s much easier to see which wrestlers have been able to create lasting friendships.

#5 WWE stars Braun Strowman and Raquel Gonzalez

Raquel Gonzalez has caught everyone’s eye after her feud with former Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley. At Halloween Havoc, Gonzalez came up short in her match against The Nightmare but proved that she wasn’t a woman to be messed with in the women’s division.

Gonzalez has already been portrayed as a woman with superhuman strength in recent weeks and it’s easy to see why she has been able to create a lasting friendship with Braun Strowman.

Both Strowman and Gonzalez have undergone massive physical transformation this year. In fact, Gonzalez thanked The Monster Among Men for helping her out during the period.

Strowman even shared a picture on his Instagram of the two stars, where it shows that Gonzalez was able to pick him up while wearing heels. It’s quite obvious that NXT has only scraped the surface of the star’s true potential in a WWE ring and big things are to come for Gonzalez in the near future.

#4 WWE stars Brian Kendrick and Daniel Bryan

Brian Kendrick and Daniel Bryan may be on different WWE brands at present, but the two men remain close friends.

Back in 1999, Daniel Bryan began training at the Texas Wrestling Academy, which was where he later had his first-ever professional wrestling match against Brian Kendrick.

The two men have since remained friends and have gone on to become veterans in WWE even though the two men have had varying levels of success.

The former WWE Cruiserweight Champion talked about his friendship with Daniel Bryan during an interview with TalkSPORT back in 2016. This was where he recalled that it was Bryan who opened his eyes to several new wrestling styles.and “really broadened my horizons and opened my eyes to what wrestling could really be."

Brian Kendrick has gone on the train a number of fellow WWE wrestlers in recent years and is now seen as a veteran on the 205 Live brand. Daniel Bryan, on the other hand, is a former World Champion and is still one of the biggest stars in WWE right now.

#3 WWE stars Ember Moon and Alexa Bliss

Ember Moon recently made her return to WWE following an Achilles injury and has interestingly returned to the NXT brand. This is where Moon came through the ranks, much like Alexa Bliss, which could be why the two have such a strong bond.

Throughout her time on the sidelines, despite the world being gripped by a pandemic, Bliss always checked in on her friend and the two women have been able to bond over their geekiness throughout their time in WWE.

While the two women are currently on separate brands, they are still able to find time to spend together and share their own unique brand of fun. Bliss has been one of the standout stars on WWE TV in recent months following her union with The Fiend, while Moon has made quite a statement on NXT since her return.

The two women were on the same WWE brand ahead of Moon’s injury and hopefully, they will be united on RAW once again in the near future.

#2. WWE stars Sasha Banks and Kalisto

Sasha Banks recently won the SmackDown Women’s Championship after she defeated Bayley at Hell in a Cell. Before that, in WWE Draft 2020, Banks was chosen by the SmackDown brand and so was her friend Kalisto.

A post shared by Kalisto WWE ”Manny” (@kalistowwe) on Oct 10, 2020 at 9:51am PDT

Even though The Lucha House Party was drafted over to RAW, Kalisto has remained on SmackDown as the group officially split.

While many of the friendships on this list have been created from stars working together in WWE, it appears that Banks and Kalisto have been able to bond outside of the ring. The two stars regularly share entertaining Instagram updates, which show that they spend a lot of time together outside of the ring.

Kalisto has helped Sasha Banks’ career over the past few years since the two stars have been doing Lucha training together, which has definitely made a difference to Banks’ in-ring overall performance.

The former United States Champion is also close friends with Sasha’s husband Sarath Ton, which allows the three stars to spend most of their time away from WWE together.

#1 WWE stars Kevin Owens and Finn Balor

Kevin Owens and Finn Balor are both former WWE Universal Champions who came through the ranks in NXT together. The two men had a fantastic feud in developmental, culminating at Beast in the East when Balor became NXT Champion in Japan back in 2015.

While WWE fans have noticed that Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens have been the best of friends throughout their careers, it was Finn Balor that Owens himself named as his closest friend in WWE in an interview with CBS Los Angeles back in 2018.

Both men still have a number of years left of their respective careers, and Finn Balor could return to the main roster whenever he’s given the go-ahead. This means that the proposed WrestleMania match could still take place in the not so distant future.
